Tom Kane is the Owner and President of Kane Appraisal Services. Tom has been in the real estate appraisal business for 30 plus years. Tom is primarily involved with commercial real estate appraisals.

Julie Kane is the Owner and Chief Financial Officer of Kane Appraisal Services. She started processing appraisals over 30 years ago with her husband Tom. Julie keeps track of all areas of accounting within Kane Appraisals, as well as Fountain Park LLC and Bell Tower Theatre in Dubuque. She is an active parishioner at the Church of the Resurrection in Dubuque, Iowa.

Tom joined Kane Appraisals in 2006 as a Certified General Appraiser. Tom has been involved with real estate for over 30 years. He primarily practices commercial appraisals in addition to focusing on litigation and court testimony appraisal work.

Joe has been with Kane Appraisals since 1995. Joe has over 24 years experience in the real estate market, including more than 22 years as an appraiser. Being a lifelong resident of Dubuque, he has extensive knowledge of the residential real estate market in the Dubuque area.

Mark has been a member of the Kane Appraisal staff since 1998. He has been a resident of Dubuque for over 50 years. Mark’s primary practice is in commercial appraisals. He also does residential, industrial, agricultural, special purpose and conservation easements.

Jon joined the Kane Appraisals team in 2017 as an Associate General Real Property Appraiser. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Accounting from Western State Colorado University in 2015. Jon lived in the Boulder, CO area from 2015-2017 and worked for Audit Logistics and gained experience in business development, project management, and accounting. Jon is primarily involved with Residential, Commercial, and Agricultural appraisals.

Joe Kane has been an Associate General Real Estate Appraiser since June 2021. Previously, Joe had a career in education as a teacher and wrestling coach with an MA in Special Education, MA in Secondary Education, and BA in English Literature/History. In 2021 Joe moved back to Dubuque with his wife and two children to live closer to family and join the family business.

Chris joined Kane Appraisals in 2003 as an administrative assistant. She receives appraisal orders and disburses them to the appraisers in addition to her daily administrative duties.

Tammy Gansen joined Kane Appraisals in 2008 as an administrative assistant. She handles payable and receivable billing while managing her daily administrative duties.

Tammy Vaughn joined Kane Appraisals in 2019 as our Data Entry Manager. She enters all appraisal comps into our system so the appraisers have the most up to date information for appraisals. Her talent for organizing and managing information is unique. Her promptness and attention to detail is priceless. Tammy is an excellent member of our team.
